Donor eggs can be useful for women who cannot produce eggs due to:

• Premature ovarian failure
• Surgical or natural menopause
• Perimenopause
• Extensive pelvic pathology making ovaries inaccessible
• Poor egg quality
• Repeated failure of IVF with own eggs

In rare cases like genetic disorders or gametogenic failures in male or female, embryo donation can also be opted for.
